[198] A tale of sorts. Long sorts.

This entry will be long, so bear with me! It will cover my return to Chicago, my three days with Yaya and Allan, the two days after that and the party in Indiana.

've been back in the Chicago area for a bit more than a week now, but I've been way too busy to write in here. When I first came back, I crashed for just hours and hours. I arrived Saturday night at around 9:30ish, got picked up by Scott, came to his house and unpacked and all that good stuff and eventually went to bed at around 2 a.m or so. The next day, we woke up at around 1o or 11, ate breakfast and hung out for about thirty minutes then we actually went BACK to sleep and woke upat like five or something. I was pretty damn tired but then again I was also getting my period and that makes me super sleepy.

So anyhow, once I came back to Chitown I went to work and was trying to make up the hours I'd lost, but then also got to spend some time on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with Yaya and Allan. On Monday, we went to the doctor so that Yaya could get a TB test. Then, we went to the Field Museum  for about four hours and then headed over to the lake. It was funnny because we parked hella far away from the museum so that we wouldn't have to pay for parking and walked to it, but by the end we were so tired that we actually took a cab from the museum to the car haha. It was only about $5 +tip but it was still pretty funny. Oh, and Allan had a pretty shitty attitude the whole time but we think it's because he's been spending way too much time with his biological father and his half brother. They're assholes. Anyhow, we played Uno for a long while and then they drove me to the suburbs. We picked up Scott then went to Panda Express for a late dinner.

I ended up going to bed around midnight that night then waking up at 9 a.m the next morning, taking a train to work, working for a few hours an then heading to the Museum of Science and Industry at around 2 p.m. with Yaya and Allan. Now that museum is a LOT funner than the Field one! It's also right by my dorm since it's not downtown but is actually in the Hyde Park area. Allan was also being a bratty jerk and Yaya was super pissed off at him about it but eventually all was well. The day ended with us going to Garrett Popcorn and getting popcorn then going to some little park in Chinatown and chilling there until it was time to take me to the train.

Wednesday we didn't go to the any museums but instead stayed at Yaya's house all afternoon/evening watching movies and eating food and just hanging out. That was pretty fun! We also went to Aldi where I bought us all some delicious mango icepopsicles for $2 a box of 6. They were creamy and just so perfect. We watched Slumdog Millionare (holyshitamazingmovie) and also watched The Devil Wears Prada (eh, blah.)

Thursday was finally a day where I got to get some down time. Scott and I pretty much just snuggled and bummed around until at around 7 when Scott headed over to school to work on a group project with his group. I stayed home and played a bit of Wow then watched good ole' Forensic Files. When he got home, at around 9ish, we went to Wal-Mart quickly then came home and  bummed around until it was time to sleep. Friday we went to Trader Joe's in the early afternoon and had lunch at Qdoba which is like a Chipotle but better! Then we went to Hollywood to try to rent Harry Potter 5 but they didn't have any in stock.

So, we came home and relaxed all evening and played some Wow. We did Ulduar 10man with our new guild and were able to clear more of it than we had in our old guild. We started Friday and then did some more of it Sunday night and tonight we're gonna try to do some more. We're at Hodir at the moment. Oh yes, did I mention I'm an officer now?? I don't really do much but yay, I have officer privilages! It's actually a new guild started by our old officers from our old guild, and it's actually been going pretty well so that is pretty damn awesome.

So anyhow, Saturday Scott and I drove out to Indiana in the morning to visit his friend Bea. She was throwing a party in our honor since she hadn't seen Scott in forever and since she and I were meeting for the first time. I thought she was pretty damn cool! Before the party, we went to the Dunes (a state park and beach type thing in Indiana) and swam! It was amazing! I had so much fun and I realized that was the first time Scott and I ever went swimming together! Then, we went back to Bea's house, showered, went to pick up her friend Steve and headed to the county fair. I had never been to the county fair and it was SO AWESOME!!!! The only ride that Scott and i rode on was the Ferris wheel. It was funny except I was a bit freaked out haha. And yes, we had fried cheese sticks (CHEEZE!!) and then I had a corn dog and we had some lemonade. Steve had fried vegetables. I swear, there is EVERYTHING fried at a county fair (yes, even friend pepsi!, which is actually not like what you think it is but still).

After the fair, we went to the liquor store and bought some booze for the party, then hung out at Bea's house and watched Cannibal! The Musical (which was hilarious) followed by some Whitest Kids you know episodes before the party got started. Long story short, the party was fun, the people were nice and we were drinking pretty much from 6:30 (?ish) until around 2-3 a.m at which point Scott and I stopped drinking. By that point, most people had left except this lesbian named Mandy who was pretty cool except she was really drunk and kept on talking and talking and talking about ahow people should not have open-casket funerals and about how her ex-girlfriend (who was a professional boxer) beat her up and how the police failed to protect he rand blah blah. It was interesting at first but she really just went on and on and on. AND ON. Finally she left at around 5 a.m. and Bea, Scott and I went to bed. Sunday we woke up, watched TV, ate pizza and just hung out until around 3:30 p..m or so when Scott and I drove back the hour to Chicago, had dinner then logged on to do more of Ulduar.

Yes, I know this has been INCREDIBLY long. I took a lot of photos this past week, too (at the museum, in Indiana) and I will be posting them sometime soon, just not now because I'm off to play some Wow with Scott and then have dinner and then finish up more Ulduar.

vacation, wow, daily life, family
