In the spirit of the day...

Let's all get drunk and stoned, and listen to Pink Floyd, passed out on the floor of our squalid rooms, with a bottle of Jack Daniels in our hands. It sure is a pretty picture to imagine, and god, don't you just love the alienation in modern society? That's why I like the Simpsons, because it's a very accurate portrayal of American life. The Simpsons is the American family: which is to say that the average American family is dysfunctional, strained, but somehow able to survive all of these outside forces that threaten to break up the fundamental society: the family. I love the detached and alienated society, because ironically, it promotes the extremest individualism, but in a group environment. Wait, do I sound bitter up to this point? Because if I am, it's about to get worse ;-). So on a day of "love", supposedly anyways, we are in actuality buying into corporate America's schemes of world domination. Yes, I said "domination" because commercialism is the new religion. Once upon a time, humans used to pray to various deities to get their wishes: make them younger, make them thinner, make them have food. But now, we ask businesses to provide those things for us: there's rogaine, prozac, and viagra. If you take Prozac, you get impotence as a side-effect. But to counter that, you can take Viagra and pop a boner that lasts for four hours. Ye Old Temple is now replaced by GNC Stores. Whatever, they are all the same. And speaking of all the same, US is just as guilty as Iran or N. Korea for possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Hell, we are the ONLY country to actually USE nukes. But no, the government says it only stores them, not use them. So leaving a cache of nukes that can blow up the US 40 times over is a good idea right? Shit, if one of the security guards actually lit a smoke, and then KABLAM, say sayanora to everything. And get this: to stop a nuclear missile, we have to use, yup, you guessed it, another missile. The rant grows weary, and I need to play games now. So see you next time, same place, same time, same channel.
