March Madness, Fight the Fever!
Alack, I returned from the US with more than just happy memories. I also returned with an unidentified 'bug' which has caused sleepless nights, fever, bed-sweats, headaches, aching limbs and endless sniffing and 'honking'. I tend to have unusually vivid dreams when I'm ill, and one whole night's-worth of REM sleep was devoted to 'March Madness' aka NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship. (This brouhaha was dominating the airwaves and sportspages when I was Stateside, which is an eye-opener for one such as I who comes from a country where college sports is a bit of a joke, to say the least.) I can't remember if I was following any one particular team in my dream, but back in the real world my putative alma mater, IU, has been KO'd. Boo.
