just come on already!

I'm ready to go back to work.  Ok, I'm not READY but I'm really looking forward to it.  I called the HR office yesterday to see how things are coming along.  Check on my security clearance and background check.  Neither are completed yet.  I also had a few other questions to ask.  All I could get an answer to is my taxes.  I can't start until the security clearance and background check are done.  They said they'd contact me as soon as it is and give me details on what I needed to do.  It's Thursday.  I am scheduled to start Monday.  I haven't gone shopping for work clothes yet.  I have some things to wear the first week- until I see what everyone else is wearing and how the dress code is.  I just want to know details.  I have a huge thought that things aren't going to go as expected.  Meaning my pay and leave get screwed up and possibly more things not going as planned.

I've been trying to get things done around the house and other things moving with the Relay before I go back to work.  I've done some Christmas shopping but no where near done.  I've got three things to get the kids still.  I need to get Rob's anniversary gift still.  I have my brother-in-law's family done.  I have my MIL and youngest brother done.  Still need to get my older brother, my FIL (all three) and mom a gift.  We are suppose to have our family pictures done Saturday.  I need to work on Christmas cards still.  I have the cards and stamps just no letter or pictures yet.
Tonight is the last Team Captain meeting of the year.  Kelly and I went out yesterday to old teams to invite them to join this year's event.  We also hit up places in town to participate.  Overall, we have a potential 10 more teams.  I bought some silver HOPE ornaments and added purple bows to them.  Gave them out as gifts to prospective teams.  I also made purple ball ornaments and wrote RFL 2010 in silver on them and added silver glittery ribbon.  Those will be handed out at tonight's meeting for all that attend.  I really hope to have a great turn out.  Last month's (while I was in Maryland) turn out was HORRIBLE.  3 people!  I've got a ton of door prizes ready.

Jessie went back to the vet for another check up.  I had been taking her every other day and the vet wanted to try once a week.  After a week, there's not much improvement but she didn't get any worse.  We take her back next week again.  She's not been filling up with fluid which is good.  Her right elbow is doing well.  The left still isn't closed up but we are still putting some medicine on it.  She's not been wearing the inflatable neck collar.  I think she misses it tho.  She loved sleeping with it like it was a pillow.  My night's aren't disturbed by her snoring anymore.
Mattie turns a year old next week!  We can't believe how much she's grown and changed in the year.  She was spayed a few weeks ago.  We thought it might calm her down but we were wrong.  She is a loving but high strung girl.  She loves attention from anyone and anything.  We have to watch her with Landan.  Not sure why but she gets too high strung around him.  She knocks him down when they are outside playing.  Her 70 lbs to him is powerful.
We started letting the girls see each other for a little while at night.  Mattie is still a lot smaller than Jessie (which I didn't realize until a few days ago).  They do well but Jessie gets tired of Mattie running around like an energizer bunny and let's us know when she's done.

The laundry is calling.  I hope everyone is having a great December so far!
