Convention!

Wow, so convention was…interesting. I had fun, but there was just a lot of “drama” the whole weekend. Plus, the other four freshmen acted like total hos all weekend. Honestly, I think they thought they were on a singles cruise or something. I really wasn’t comfortable with a lot of the crap they were pulling. Now, I’m not a prude or anything, but I don’t go grind with a completely stranger and then give him my room number, all without ever knowing his name, for fun. And then, we were in our rooms after curfew last night at around 1:30 (We can still be up past midnight curfew, but we couldn’t open our doors or leave the room). Brynn and Sarah were looking out the windows on either side of the door at the big plaza thing (The hotel was set up with a huge plaza on the ground floor with all the rooms around it on each floor. So every room opened up on to the balcony thing that overlooked the plaza. I’m sorry if that didn’t make any sense, but I’m so tired right now. Just think of it like a big mall, how that’s set up, only with hotel rooms). All of a sudden, they were like, “Hey guys, one of the DJs is down there!” So we all went and looked at the windows, and Brynn and Sarah were like waving to the guy and making hand gestures and stuff. We found out that he was 24, and that he wanted us to call his room. Out of the blue, Sarah’s like, “I’m going to flash him!” and we all thought she was kidding, but she totally just whips off her shirt and stands in front of the window! The guy’s eyes bugged out and he was acting all pervy, like lifting up his shirt and rubbing his chest. Then, he gets up and goes over to the elevator! We were all freaking out because we thought he was going to come up and assault us or something. I was so mad at Sarah...I mean, it could have been really bad. What if one of the security guards saw her, or someone else? She would have gotten kicked out, and when someone from a school goes, apparently the WHOLE school goes. Besides, he was staying at the hotel. What if we saw him again and he tried something with us? Ugh, I just can't believe she did that. That, my friends, is why I hung out with the upperclassmen like the whole weekend. It was fun. They said I was the "only responsible freshman who isn't a complete skank". Doesn't that just fill your heart with warm fuzzies?
Oh, wait, maybe I do have a skanky story. Okay, on the balcony across from ours, on the 6th floor, there was a cardboard cutout of a disco dancer's body (Everyone decorated their balconies). We were really bored yesterday before our first session, so the two rooms that were standing in the hallway dared me to go up and stick my head over it. So, of course, I did. I stuck my head over it and posed for pictures (Thank you creator of the zoom lens) while the two rooms cheered for me. Then, this room right behind me opened and this boy came out to see what the noise was about. May I add, he was not wearing a shirt. I said hi to him and he said hi back, kind of giving me a funny look. Without even thinking about it, I opened my mouth and said "I like your body." YES, I did NOT think about it. I totally didn't mean it like that. He did a double take and was like "What??" And I, realizing that I had just completely put my foot in my mouth in front of a very cute, shirtless boy, was like "Your cardboard one." And then I ran away back to our room. When I got back to our balcony, he was still watching me(Still shirtless, if I may add again), but a few more boys came out and were with him. Those boys were my room buddies from then. We'd wave to each other's balconies when ever we were out. And that's my ONE skank story of the weekend!
Ugh, I'll finish up my convention story later. I'm tired. I had frigging soccer tonight too, and I'm not even unpacked all the way yet. Plus, soccer offically starts tomorrow, so there goes my spare time...
XOXO
Abby
