Okay, I once again avoided doing school work by researching hedgehog stuff which in my opinion, is a lot better way to spend your alone-time than reading heavy books concerning educational pedagogics, don't you think?

I once wrote about our daily menu ( here), but I figured it's time to rewrite the post now that our menu has "found" it's own routine, so to speak. Also, here is that post of mine where I explained fully WHY we're going with this diet :)

So, yeah, as noted, we've gone with the insectivore diet and so far it's working well for us. One of the reasons for that is that hedgehogs require chitin and it mainly comes from the exoskeleton of insects. I remember reading somewhere that fiber in the diet may substitute for the chitin component but so far, I see no point ( Read more... )
