A couple of compositions

May 17, 2007 10:00

I have been appreciating free-verse poetry recently, so have decided to attempt to compose a couple of my own. These are free-verse in rhyme and meter, but the form (the first letter of each line an the title being the same) is called Pleiades.

When the Queen commands, who am I to refuse? Get well soon, Bee.
Autumn
Autumn's wind tosses leaves
Aureate and crimson, on
Aspens and maples
Ablaze with colour.
And yet, glanced only through
A narrow window, as school
And responsibilities resume.

For a nameless muse or Cad will never shut up.
Moment
Magnificence in a single
Moment. Fluid, graceful
Movements. She soars through the air, and
Most victories aren't instantaneous, but
Mayhap in her spirit, grace and speed unite,
Magical, she is poetry in
Motion.
