pink carnations
I've just finished reading The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig. It's the fourth book in her Secret History of the Pink Carnation series, and it is just spectacular! The majority of the series takes place in early 19th century Britain, among the aristocrats who are, as patriots are wont to do, helping their beloved country. SPIES!! some ROMANCE! lots of ADVENTURE!!
Reading any book in this series leaves me with a happy feeling :)
I feel as though the series is on par with Outlander, but in a lighter, quicker-read sort of way.
