I guess it's been a while since I've posted. :(
I'm back in school for the semester, and I'm pretty excited about my classes this semester. They are really interesting, and I think they are pretty relevant to my (possible) future job. I'm taking Federal Income Tax, Bankruptcy, Payment Systems and Agency & Partnerships. I'm also doing an externship (internship for class credit) at the university's Tax Compliance office. Added to a couple short courses, and I'm in 18 hours for the semester.
I'm currently looking for both a part-time job and a job for the summer. I've applied to a couple places back home for the summer, and I think I might try to find a job there when I'm done with school in December. I'm so unsure right now of where I really want to be. I really like Cincinnati and being away from the drama of family, but at the same time, I do miss my family.
My great-grandma came down for a couple of weeks over Christmas break and it was really nice to see her. My grandma also came up to spend Christmas at our house, so it was a full house for Christmas.
My brother got married the day after Christmas. It's definitely REALLY WEIRD having your younger brother married. Not to mention the fact that it's weird to think that he'll be a father this summer...we found out that it will be a baby girl. Now I need to find the perfect gift to knit!
I had a good time at home over break, and I especially had a good time in Lawrence. I really miss KU a lot.
bromthymolblue flew in from SC and we went to a basketball game together. Spent the weekend traipsing around town w/
arthenadent and her man,
possiblediggity, Megan and Claire. It was really cool to see everyone!
Circuit City replaced my laptop b/c they couldn't fix the freezing issues I was having with the old computer. So now I'm starting to feel as though my life is back in a natural routine. Amazing how not having a working computer can turn your life upside-down. I need to be less addicted, I guess. Speaking of addictions though...my roommate got a Wii for Christmas, and I've been playing a LOT. Wii Sports is a lot of fun, and so it GUITAR HERO! Although I really suck at Guitar Hero b/c I have no rhythm or sense of beat. Maybe I need a metronome in the room w/ me when I play.
Finally, I've been watching a lot of the KU games on tv, and I have to say....AWESOME! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
