In any case, I look really unpatriotic now, because I apparently hate America because I think the drunk fratboys singing "God Bless America" over and over again on the quad are being obnoxious and aren't exactly shining paragons of American manhood (since most of them don't vote).
I'm a hippie commie red commie red socialist hippie, so that's the way I see it. I'm glad bin Laden's dead, but I don't really feel the need to get drunk and celebrate it, you know? Maybe that's just me.
In the meantime, hearing "The Star-Spangled Banner" two dozen times tonight has even more solidified my belief that our national anthem should either be "This Land is Your Land" or "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing."
