I haven't updated in ages. So, I decided to jot something down on the run. It's like 6AM, and I've been up all night. So, I have to make this quick and brief. You know what's intriguing? Everyone is so far apart from each other right now. Some people are here, some are there -- everyone is all over the place. And in two weeks time or so, they'll all flock together in this one little city, Caracas. Heh. I just had this funny picture in my mine with all our friends just running towards one city and bumping into each other, haha. Other than that, I spent the entire night pondering how long each human being's life would be if the all of time was represented in a book of a two hundred pages or so -- from the big bang to the present. This means that each page would have to represent about five-million five-hundred thousand years, and each line would represent about sixty-eight thousand seven-hundred fifty years. Now, imagine, on a scale of that magnitude, how long your life would be? A fraction of a letter! Or take another example: Imagine that the earth was just created a week ago. Then, that means that the big bang occurred two or three weeks ago. The oldest macroscopic fossil from the start of the Cambrian period would only be about a day old. And the modern man would have appeared a mere ten seconds ago. And the renaissance, the renaissance would only have lasted for only half a second! Just a strange concept I've been thinking about. It really intrigued me how much how transient our existence really is if we consider all of time as of yet.
Yes, this is what I think about, hah. Strange, agreed. But hey, provides me with hours upon hours of entertainment. I just like the intellectual pursuit -- it's just...invigorating.
