Freezing the cooloo's off
Lost power at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at home and at work. Got to leave work early and come home to a freezing house. Friday, there was no work as they still had no power (I called and drove over to the building to check). Finally got power at home back at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. This is a bad ice storm, people.
What's worse is that, since there's no power and our phones run on the modem, we have no phones until about Monday. At least we can use our cell phones to call.
You should've seen me when I realized we had power back. A three-year-old would've been hard-pressed to match my level of excitement.
Hopefully, I won't be in too much trouble with my boss for not being there Friday, but I tried.
I'm just glad it wasn't also snow.
