Wedding update!!
This is what I've gotten done so far:
1. Got date. August 15th, 2009.
2. Booked Venue. We will be having our ceremony and our reception at the same place. The Grand Banquet and Hall in Essexville. It's a really nice place. I am afraid that it might be a bit small - but I think that it will work out overall. The ceremony wont need much for decoration, it is pretty beautiful on it's own in the summer.
3. Bought dress and veil and shoes. Dress and veil from David's Bridal, shoes from Payless. Looks amazing. Booked alterations date for May 9th.
4. Three bridesmaids have bought thier dresses.
5. Mom has found her dress!
6. Booked officiant for ceremony. It will be Jon's friend Desmon Daniel.
7. Booked DJ for reception. Band Wagon Entertainment. My uncle's friend is doing it for cheap.
8. Booked photography for wedding day. Rummel Studios of Frankenmuth.
9. Ordered chair covers for reception.
10. Booked string trio to play for ceremony. Great Lakes Chamber Players.
11. Started to make wedding invitations.
12. Bought seals for invitation envelopes.
13. Bought personalized cocktail napkins for reception.
14. Bought personalized matchbooks for reception.
15. Started buying supplies for reception table centerpieces and other decorations.
16. Picked date for bridal shower: June 28th, 2009.
17. Booked hall for bridal shower. Sebewaing City Hall.
18. Almost finished making invitations for bridal shower.
19. Decided on Bachelor/Bachelorette parties. We are going up to celebrate during Cheeseburger in Caseville! A day of sun, sand, cheeseburgers and beer! :D
Things that I still have to do:
1. Get Jon and the groomsmen, ushers and dad's in to get thier tux's.
2. Get maid of honor's dress.
3. Figure out shoes for MOH and bridesmaids.
4. Buy wedding jewelry/headband.
5. Figure out what to do for bouquets/boutonierres/corsages.
6. Book hair appointment. Trial run and day-of hair.
7. Finish making wedding invitations.
8. Buy envelopes for wedding invitations.
9. Buy unity candle.
10. Finish buying supplies for centerpieces and decorations.
11. Figure out what to do for wedding cake.
12. Buy cake topper.
13. Buy guestbook.
14. Buy supplies/make wedding reception favors.
15. Finish making invitations for bridal shower.
16. Figure out decorations/gifts for bridal shower.
That's all that I can think of for right now. I know there are still a ton of minor details to work out, too. Such as what music will the musicians play and when for the ceremony. And the playlist for the DJ. Stuff like that.
But really, I think I've got a handle on this whole wedding planning stuff. I find it pretty fun, actually. I'm really excited to see it all come together. :)
