Day Seventy Nine
...was last Wednesday. The electrician came, replaced our old plastic distribution board with a new modern-spec metal one, and finished off the electrical work. We now have heat and light in there, and there are network sockets for when we move things back and need to hook things up.
What we don't yet have is the final floor surface. It was supposed to be arriving tomorrow, but we've just had an email including copies of emails from a couple of steps down the supply chain saying the floor isn't ready yet. It turns out one step in the supply chain is in Newry, so the flooring needs to cross the Irish Sea. I can't help thinking that certain recent political developments may be hindering its progress...
