It's a year and a day since I first came to look at my new house. Here are two photographs of the garden. I couldn't take today's from exactly the same spot as there's scaffolding all round the house, but it's as close as I can manage.

The wild cherry trees and the magnolia tree were still flowering this time last year, but they're a week or three ahead this year. Quite a bit has been done to the garden, but I've not yet managed to mow the lawn this year.
In other news, A is in Germany for a few days, so I've been doing the kind of re-arrangement and tidying that is easier when there's only me around, and the roof work here (for which the scaffolding was erected a week ago) has not yet started, though a van has just arrived on the driveway. I went to the local radio club on Wednesday evening. There was an interesting talk about the Bristol University radio telescope. Thursday morning's Morse practice broadcast suffered a bit from distractions.
