Another Month...

May faded out with a couple of colder grey days, and June is starting in the same fashion. However, we enjoyed hot fine weather for the first few days of my mother's visit. She remarked, when she arrived, that the weather was much warmer than Nairobi's at present. Because of the early summer sunrises it's taken her several days to adjust to local time. Earlier in the week days started rather earlier than I'd like. There's been a bit of gardening done. One morning I woke up, looked out of my bedroom window, and saw signs of some rather severe pruning. I expect the garden will look better for it, eventually, but I hope there won't be an extended drought, or much of the garden will shrivel...

On Monday evening I went along to one local radio club informal meeting, and on Tuesday I went along to help with a tutorial evening at the other radio club. Wednesday and Thursday evenings were quiet; just as well given the early starts.

On Friday evening I went over to Gravesend for gaming. We played Star Munchkin (which Lissa won) and Red Empire (which was a short game because both the worst crises came up early, and the union collapsed.

I spent more time in the garden this morning, mostly digging compost into a border that's been exposed by some of the pruning earlier in the week. This afternoon's been more relaxing, but I think it'll be an early night tonight...
