friday night done right
I love it when a Friday night that is looking kind of bleak turns out to be just what I wanted. I got off work, decided not to go clean out my car (got a little lazy) and instead, filled the gas tank and went home. Ordered a pizza for my mom and got a huge gorgeous bouqet of flowers from Rick that I didn't expect. Jumped in the shower and then Rick ran off to do his thing before the Halo tournament tomorrow with Dustin. I stayed home, watching TV alone on a Friday night sitting somewhere between really wanting to go out and yet not having any desire to do anything that required energy. Called Cathy. Voicemail. Called Jason. Voicemail. Even called Matt. Voicemail. And then I tried Kelly. Exactly what I needed. We went for TCBY - a light, less sweet and heavy version of ice cream.... how perfect for my mood. She has to work in themorning and I have things to do tomorrow (SPIDERMAN 3 tomorrow afternoon!!!) so we didn't want to be out real late. So we go back to the house with every channel possible and end up with HOUSE (WOOHOO) and then The Rainmaker (Matt Damon plays Rudy Baker, you have to love it). What a score for a relaxed Friday night. And I will get back to the house in the morning on Kelly's way to work about the time that Rick starts waking up (that is if he makes it home tonight). I love it when life just works out.
