PIN

So, I just thought I'd babble for a moment. Usually I don't do much of that here, but since this is about constructive criticism, I thought that it was something that suited this journal. Some interesting discussion was going on on the Flist and it got me to thinking, always dangerous, I know. *smirk* Still...

In school, clear back in the day, I was taught that constructive criticism should follow this basic structure: PIN.

That stands for:
Praise; what is good about the artwork? What did you particularly like? What was particularly well done?
Interests; what was particularly interesting about the artwork? What stood out as a unique choice?
Needs; what could have been more effective? What could have been improved in the artwork? What wasn't as effective as it could have been?

I was just wondering, what other constructive criticism forms are there out there that are particularly suited to the admittedly limited realms of the interwebs? What sorts of criticisms do y'all use?

x-posted to my personal journal.
