hey, do you need an address to the ferry or to the cabin? The ferry is right by point defiance. go down ruston way, loop around through the area that looks like post-war russia, through the tunnel and up the hill, go right at the second stop / first light, and follow it down to the ferry terminal. stop at the booth to by your bike/walk on ticket. then from the ferry: get off the ferry and go left up the hill (very long and steep to begin, ugh, welcome to the vashon hills) stay on this road (vashon highway) all the way to town. This is probably 8-10 miles i'm guessing. you'll go up into the wooded area, and drop back down to the beach, the curve around to the left and go up again. It's all the main road, vashon highway. Eventually you'll come to a four way light with a couple little poh-dunk stores. Go forward. Within one more mile or so, is the heart of down town. Come up to the first four way light. This is the main intersection. There's a thrift way on the right across the street, a book store, tea shop, etc. Go left here. I'm not sure what this cross street is. But will find out, and tell you on the ferry, if not before. Follow this street for a couple of miles. Again, hills and winding around. Very pretty and scenic though. Eventually, it will bend sharply to the left, and in less than a mile it will come to a T, where the road you're on ends. I think this is maybe called West Highway, or something like this. Go right. This then curves down to the left then right, then bam! you're at the street! About 100 yards or so. Robin Wood Drive. Go left. There are about ten mail boxes lined up here. This is the road that is pretty steep going down to the cabin. It's probably less than a mile, but very steep and winding. Be careful. Also, be careful turning onto it, because you have to turn left accross the lane, and cars will fly up out of no where. Also, there is a bit of gravel and maybe some debree on Robin Wood, as it is not maintained by the county. If you don't think it's cool to ride on, just call and I'll come up to the top of the hill to pick you up, or it'd be about 15 minutes walking. So just go down this hill, and come around some bends. You'll come to a house that's sort of run-down and right by the road on the right. Our's is the very next one on the right. You'll see my car in the parking space. If you want, you can leave you're bike here, but I'd walk it down to the house because it's such a nice bike, and just to be safe. Just walk down the wooden pathway. You'll see the house. Gray/blue, and sort of steep A-frame looking from the back side. The first door on the right at the bottom of the steps goes inside the mud room area. Just go a few more steps down to the lower deck. Probably put your bike here. Then jump up the steps to the barbeque!! It's a bit of a ride, but I know you can do it. It's so beautiful. Enjoy! See you on the ferry!
