So our 200 thing didn't work out so well... maybe we'll try again at 300 or something. But we're really happy that so many people are watching!
The owls came within minutes of each other. The first was from James, and the second from Albus. Harry read them both, then looked at Ginny.
“He’s in Slytherin. And friends with Malfoy’s boy.”
Ginny looked at him for a second, then giggled. “Of course he is, dear.”
“Not kidding, look.” He passed the letters to her.
Ginny scanned the letters. “Oh…shit.”
“I know. Oh, god. What’ll Ron say?” Harry groaned.
“Ron’s a prat. We’ll write back and congratulate him. And yell at James.”
“And tell him to be careful around Scorpius.”
“Harry. For all we know he isn’t like his dad at all. Wouldn’t be the first time.”
“Honestly, what’ll we tell the family?”
“Harry,” Ginny put a hand on his shoulder. “You said yourself that it didn’t matter if he was in Slytherin.”
“Yeah, well, I didn’t bloody expect him to actually be in it, did I?” Harry scowled. “This is bloody awful.”
“It’ll be fine, Harry,” Ginny said. “Stop worrying. Honestly.”
Harry smiled. “I guess you’re right. Hey, maybe he’ll even make the big, bad Slytherins a little nicer. We should write back to James and tell him not to murder his brother.”
Ginny laughed. “You do that. I’ll put Lily to bed.”
Harry smiled and sat down to write.
