Fake Dementor Kiss, spec. fix search
Hello!
Looking for this specific fic, (i think it was on fanfiction.net) in which Harry (who i think is a between his 4th and 5th year) is abducted from privet drive by death eaters/voldemort, and at one point in the abduction is surrounded by dementors. To avoid his likely fate of torture and death, Harry preforms this spell he’s learned from fake!Moody (I think??) that makes him mimic the state of being kissed by a dementor. He’s still aware, but completely paralysed and does not feel pain from the torture the death eaters still preform on (what they believe to be) his soulless body.
The order arrive and save Harry, but are devastated to learn of his fate (especially Remus and Sirius). They take him back to Grimmauld place, where I believe Sirius sits by Harry’s paralysed body in dog-form (may have been to make it easier to deal with losing his godson?)
Harry eventually, slowly regains his senses and they realise he wasn’t kissed. However, after his recovery, and they realise what spell he used, they realise he will go through the pain of all the torture the deatheaters put him through earlier? I think they try to transfer the pain to Sirius instead, but fail.
