Mod Post: Members list update
So!
I was thinking to myself... how is it that we have 900+ members... but only about 60 people participating every week (voters & icon makers combined)?
So I went through the members list. One member at a time starting with the most inactive journals.
Five years worth of deleted journals, moved journals and dead journals later I decided to clean up the members list.
I removed every deleted journal & moved journal, along with every journal that has been dead for over two years. We now have 554 members. WOW. Almost half gone.
Still, however, 60 participators out of 554 members is a bit low. So I've checked, and a lot of the people who are still active, but not participating are members, but are not watching us. So the next step in my 'Bring This Place Back to Life' plan is to leave a little note on each persons journal that is listed as a member, but not watching us, letting them know that we are active again.
Hopefully this will bolster submissions.
P.S. If I accidentally removed your journal from the members list, and you are still watching us over here, I apologize. I didn't ban anyone, so you should be able to rejoin without incident. Hopefully I didn't accidentally remove anyone at all.
We aren't really doing badly right now... but comparatively to how we used to be, and how I know we can be...
I just know we can do better.
