Isn't the house-elf holding the sword? The arm looks too scrawny and awkwardly-angled to be Ron's, IMO. Also, is it Kreacher, or Dobby??

Whee so excited! :D

I bet it's Kreacher. His story isn't finished, yet.
Well, neither is Dobby's.
Sheesh. SO EXCITED!

Also, if you look at the hi-res version of the UK kids cover... in harry's glasses, you can see 3 shadowy reflexions - one bright white form and two shadowy forms.

HMMM.

Have a bit more time to study the book covers ...

Have decided that I very much like the UK cover as it has so much detail. Love the cuts and burns on Harry and Hermione. Does Ron fall in battle again? Going to agree with the posters that it is Kreacher holding the Gryffindor sword. Are they in the RR or Voldemort's vault at Gringott's? Hee, the Slytherin armor, so cute. The rubies have me a bit confused as I think of rubies in conjunction with the Hogwarts point system. Did the trio manage to lose Gryffindor points by breaking into Voldemort's lair (or whatever it is)?

The US cover, that has to be the Slytherin locket that's on the UK adult cover. But what are they reaching out for?

dude, on the US cover, harry and voldie are striking the almost the same pose and are wearing almost the same scary ugly hoodie thing.

also - WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED THE FREAKING PRONGS PATRONUS ON THE INSIDE COVER OF THE UK BOOK?

Because.... Prongs only works against Dementors and Lethifolds?

Also, because he's no mystery. "Hi. I'm the embodiment of Harry's wishful thinking on his dad and I can kick a dementor's floaty black ass."

I'm more curious about Snake-In-A-Bubble over the Patronus.

well, what the patronus represents is no mystery... but why have it on the cover? the inside of the cover for that matter?
