I just woke up to one of my RP friends telling me thast the covers were up!!! Freeeeeeaking A! OMG OMG OMG....
So we have Slytherin's locket on the UK adult cover.
UK KIDS COVER:
We've got Trio being sucked through an opening with a flood of treasure littered with glinting things topped with dragon, suits of armor, gold coins galore, a sword in Ron'sthe house-elf's hand (maybe Godric's sword???).
PLEASE TAKE NOTE! HARRY HAS A HOUSE-ELF HOLDING ONTO HIS SHOULDER. KREACHER!?!?! HI THERE! xD
And they're OBVIOUSLY being sucked OUTSIDE.
Harry and Hermione both have scratched up arms (from the treasure hitting them or something else?)
Note that it's ALL RUBIES and not one single Emerald. Don't think Slytherin. This is something pretty Gryffindor, probably. Or hell, maybe they're in Hogwarts? Maybe they're in the room of requirement?
Back cover of the UK Kids: Hogwarts front entrance. Note that there is a FULL MOON. Clouds are rolling in (or is it MIST? Dementors?) That could very well be the whomping willow in the picture. See that snake in the bubble or sphere? Could that be Nagini getting trapped?
We do get a blurb about where Harry is at the beginning of the book -- at the Dursleys. We already know he'd be there.
US COVER:
Voldemort and Harry standing rather near each other. Neither has a wand in hand. Both look as if they are determinedly trying to draw something into their grasps. Standing amidst debris and parted curtains (No, I don't think this is the Veil as that was a drapey black thing of doom). Surrounded by what appears to be the shadows of people (deathly hallows, anyone?). ALSO!!!! HARRY HAS A POUCH AROUND HIS NECK! Voldemort looks like he's looking at HARRY more than whatever he's trying to get. Or maybe he's trying to keep it back?
Btw. I'm pretty sure they are shadows. After all, if you look carefully enough at some of the ones in the front, they look just a bit see through enough that you can see the outline of the columns behind them.
Note, the sunset color of the sky sort of matches the sunset color through the archway of what the Trio is sucked through. As a matter of fact. There are archways in that arena where Voldemort and Harry are. Hm.
AHAHAHAHAHAHA. SO EXCITED!
