Millicent twirled the fake tail of her cat costume around in a circle, waiting for Percy Weasley to step out of his private bathroom. She'd allowed him to pick his own costume, but made sure he would spend the entire evening occupied with various other Ministry personnel

Taking one last drag from his cigarette, Theo tossed it into a nearby potted plant before stepping into the main ball room to search for Millie. They had shown each other their glamours ahead of time so they would know each other, but he didn't have a clue what costume she was wearing. Theo himself was dressed all in black, with a long cape and some sort of large silver wand on his belt. The man in the Muggle costume shop said it would be very popular. Apparently it was from some famous Muggle movie which Theo had no desire to see. It also came with a helmet, which he not so politely declined to purchase

"Excuse me, Minister," she said to Percy, feeling confident in leaving him to greet the Ministry employees while she had a word with "Merrick Wyatt."

"Merrick," she said, giving him a kiss on each cheek. "You look amazing, darling. I'm glad you could make it this evening."

She pulled him behind one of the potted plants and pulled him close. "Is everything in order for this evening's event?"

Theo looked around a little to make sure anyone who happened to be there already wasn't watching them. Once he was sure they weren't being watched, he turned back to face "Bethany."

"Every thing's set," he told her, taking one glove off and reaching up to cup her face. "You look bloody brilliant." Then he leaned in and captured her lips in a kiss.

"Good," she replied against his lips, pressing her body against his. "As long as everyone enjoys themselves tonight, there will be no reason we can't pull this off."

"Exactly." Theo kissed her again, moving his hand down to squeeze her arse again. "When are we starting?"

"As soon as I know everyone from that department has arrived," she replied against his lips.

Nodding, Theo pulled back a bit. "You look amazing," he told her, his eyes scanning her body. "Don't get rid of this costume. I want to see it in a more. . . private setting."

"Later," she replied, kissing him softly. "For now, I've got to entertain everyone and play the charming secretary."

Rolling his eyes, Theo leaned in and kissed her neck. "I love you," he told her, lips brushing against her skin before he pulled back. "How will I know when we're starting?"

"Tracey will be in position just before midnight," she said. "We'll sneak away just before then."

Theo nodded and brushed his lips across hers once more. "Save a dance for me, yeah?"

"What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't?" she teased. "See you in a bit after I'm done introducing the boss to everyone he's supposed to speak with."

"Okay," Theo said, moving to step out from behind the plant. "See you, beautiful." And then it was off to mingling. Ugh, he hated mingling. He just wanted to get this night over with so he could be back at home, in bed with Millie.
