"Haven't we?" Draco asked, feigning surprise. He grinned and spun her around, showing her off. "Maybe we can win cutest couple."

"I have issues with commitment," Draco defended. "And for a while, I had monetary problems too, which are now thankfully solved." He started to smile. "You'll be getting that ring any day now."

"Issues with commitment?" Pansy asked in mock-horror, "Does that mean you've been running around behind my back? Draco Malfoy, I am shocked!"

"I have not been seeing any other women," Draco said sincerely, trying desperately not to laugh. "I promise."

Pansy forced a laugh, "Sorry. I don't know what came over me." She moved closer to Draco, resting her head on his shoulder as they danced."

"You know," Draco said, frowning at her expression, "I think we could both use another drink."

Draco smiled again and led the way off the dance floor, through the crowds to find the waiter. He wanted something stronger than champagne, but getting absolutely smashed in public would be embarrassing. He plucked two glasses from the tray and handed one to Pansy, taking a large sip of his. "Much better."
