Her eyes got wide as she set her fork down and took the book to flip through it. Sure enough, it was the collective works of Shakespeare. "Shakespeare? He's five. I don't even understand Shakespeare. But you can have fun reading it to him."
"Well then I bow to your intellect," she said, handing the book back. "I don't know if he'll still be awake when we get back, but you can certainly drop by anytime and give it to him."
"You're welcome, of course; I chose it for you," Zach said, smiling at her. "I hope you enjoy the play, too. It's the Taming of the Shrew, in musical format. And an added storyline about the actors, as well."
"You don't have to have read it," Zach assured her. He looked down at his plate; his fish was only 2/3 of the way gone, but he wasn't very hungry anymore so he set his fork down at the same time she did and picked up his wine instead. "I'll read it to you later, remember?"
