Okay guys, nine days to go, and I'm seeing a lot of angst (yes, I do lurk ::grin::) about some people's fics. I'm hoping to propose a deal to you guys, see what you think, maybe lessen the mortal terror I keep seeing

Hello! Can you tell me how long the fics need to be? Is there a mininum word limit or anything? You may have said this before but I can't find it anywhere... :)

Ah, I might've accidentally removed it from the comm info. Am doofus. 1000 words is the minimum limit. :)

Is that including the drabble if we use it in the story? Or is it 1000 apart from anything we take from the drabble?

Well, it depends how you structure the fic. If you're using the drabble as an intrinsic part of the fic (in the middle, at the end, scattered throughout) then it's part of the wordcount. TECHNICALLY, if your fic leads on directly from the drabble, then you can count it, but that's cheating. I'll allow it though, because I didn't think of that possibility until people started doing it. Comm's full of sneaky types. ::grin:: So the drabble is included in your 1000 words IF you're using it word-for-word in the fic.
