(no subject)
Okay guys, nine days to go, and I'm seeing a lot of angst (yes, I do lurk ::grin::) about some people's fics. I'm hoping to propose a deal to you guys, see what you think, maybe lessen the mortal terror I keep seeing.
If you're going to be finished your fic within the next 9 days, thank you, I love you, and please send it in ASAP. I have only 4 fics back thus far, so you're guaranteed to be among the first posted and therefore you'll be free to post it elsewhere once it's up here. I can offer you wonderful folks nothing but my gratitude, but it's very shiny gratitude, I promise.
However, if you're one of those unfortunate souls who is tearing out their hair over this, I'm happy to grant you an extension, provided you email me or leave a comment here saying so. If you don't tell me, I'm going to assume you've dropped off the face of the planet and I'll start lining up a backup writer. Similarly, if you're going to drop out entirely, you really need to tell me soon so I can find someone else to fulfill the challenge. I sincerely hope no one plans to drop out, but I'm a realist.
I can only grant very limited extensions - no more than a week - because then we're going to start running out of stuff to post, and no one wants that. If you think you'll only need a day or so, that would be wonderful. But I DO need to know.
The due date is still July 17, and I will still start posting the drabbles and fics on the 18th of July. This is NOT a community-wide extension. We've all been waiting far too long for that. :)

In other news, isiscolo has suggested I provide some standardised header info, to minimise any confusion, and that's an exceptional idea. I'll be adding a lot of the headers myself when I post the drabbles and fics (the challenges given and the pairings mainly), so I don't need much from you guys. If you haven't sent in your fic yet, please add the following at the top:
Title:
Rating:
Wordcount:
No need for summaries, as all the drabbles will be posted just before the fics, so there's no point. Pairing and challenge info will be included with the drabble. but I do need TITLES and RATINGS especially.
If you've already sent your fic in, don't worry about sending me a header, I'll sort it out.
