Wizards’ world
In which house do you think you belong? Why? I always say Ravenclaw because I'm fairly ambitious and I love books, but every test I've taken has put me in Gryffindor. Maybe I should have gotten Sorted here before I filled out this application....
In which house do you think you don’t belong at all? Why? Slytherin. I don't think everyone in Slytherin is stereotypically mean, but I try to be accepting of everyone, which doesn't exactly seem to be their motto. Also, I usually wind up yelling at mean people, so I would get my ass kicked a lot.
In which class would you shine the most? Why? Probably Defence Against the Dark Arts. I do better in subjects I have a lot of motivation to do well in - and the practical aspect of the class (at least, when Lupin taught it) sounds really fun.
Write a short paragraph about each of the following families [just state your thoughts on each of them]:
Malfoy: Sort of like one of those slave-owning plantation families in the nineteenth century American South, but with better hair. Icy, powerful, and terrifying, but perhaps easier to exploit than you think.
Black: So much complexity and history, especially with all the names burned off the family tree. Sirius obviously isn't the only black sheep in the family, and they must be really concerned with reputation to ostracize anyone who steps over their perfect Slytherin line.
Potter: A well-off family, but well-off because they deserve to be. Protective, talented, maybe a little bit cocky, but fiercely loyal in the end. We don't exactly have much to go on, though, do we?
Weasley: Occasionally bumbling, ridiculously kind, accomodating people, with the right combination of eccentricity and warmth. Exactly the sort you'd want to be best friends with.
Remember the pensieve incident from book five? [Chapter #28: Snape’s Worst Memory] What are your thoughts about it? I have so many thoughts about it, I'm not really sure where to start! I'm such a huge fan of the Marauders, and even though I'd disapprove of what they did to Snape (if find it kind of funny) in real life, in the book it just made them more real and endearing to me. Snape was an obnoxious git, they were obnoxious gits, and I was really happy that we got another (canon) glimpse into the Marauders' history.
In these hard times with a new war ahead, where are your loyalties? With the Order and the people I love.
