"Joey ate my last stick of gum so I crucio'd him..."

Don’t mention anywhere in this application what character you were stamped as in the regular application, so it won’t influence in the house you get into.

Name: Jana
Age: 21

Go over here and find the tree that belongs to your birthday. Then scroll down and copy all the characteristics of the corresponding tree here, bolding and/or underlining the ones that apply to you. Feel free to explain if you want to, but it's not required that you do.

Fig Tree
The sensibility - Very strong, a bit self-willed, independent, does not allow contradiction or arguments, loves life, its family, children and animals, a bit of a butterfly, good sense of humor, likes idleness and laziness, of practical talent and intelligence.

The word "sensibility" does not exist in my vocabulary. I am probably one of the most irresponsible people I know. I forget things, I procrastinate, I do stupid things and I get myself into ridiculous and awkward situations. I also don't really see myself as being intelligent. I'm not really book smart and I never study but I've still managed to maintain a 3.3 GPA. I spent 2 years of college partying rather than cracking a textbook. How I got that GPA, I'll never know. Don't follow my example, kids.

What kind of people would you expect to find in each of the four houses?
Gryffindors: The party kids, the jocks, the practical jokers, etc. They're proud, they like to have a good time and they're not afraid to say what they feel. I'd probably want these kids as my friends because they fit my personality: loud, obnoxious, a love of life and stubborn as hell.

Ravenclaw: The smart kids. The ones who I would recruit to help me with a school project and then do as little work as possible. Haha. I see Ravenclaws as being somewhat introverted but would rip someone apart in a verbal argument. I see them as having an immense amount of wit.

Slytherin: Also proud, intelligent, sarcastic and extremely cool. Throw in a a lot of ambition as well. They'll fight if they have to, but won't get emotionally invested in it like a Gryffindor would.

Hufflepuff: Outgoing, hardworking, sensible, law-abiding and incredibly loyal. They're honest people and make very good friends.

What are your thoughts on domestic elves?
If they don't want to be freed, then don't free them. If they do, then free them.

For what reason would you put your name in the Goblet of Fire? (if you would)
For the adventure and the challenge. I don't really care about eternal glory, I just want to say that I had the guts to submit my name.

Your class is going to visit Hogsmeade, but you don’t have the permission to go and there’s no way to get it. What do you do?
So what? Not having permission isn't going to stop me. I'd just go anyway simply to break the rules and defy the Professors. I've always been like that. If you tell me 'no', you've basically just tempted me into doing the prohibited activity.

If we look at your pensieve, what would be the most embarrassing moment in it? What would be the happiest one?
Most embarrassing: Probably last summer at my job. There were three really fat, hairy Dutch guys in the office (I work at an RV company and the majority of customers are German and Dutch). It was absolutely sweltering outside and all of them had taken their shirts off, exposing their well-trained beer guts. They had been waiting for their motorhome for a really long time and they wanted free chairs or something. My co-worker told me this. I didn't realize that one of them was standing in front of me (I had my back to him) and I said, VERY loudly, "they can have free shit if they promise to put their fucking shirts on."

My co-worker had to go into the back and laugh while I buried my head in my shirt and followed her. We were back there for half an hour killing ourselves laughing in the shop. It takes a lot to frazzle me but I couldn't believe I said that.

Happiest: My friend Ruedy's 18th birthday party. We all got really drunk, played pool, Ruedy lost at poker, we smashed bottles and my friend Ryan chased my other friend Mike with a rake because Mike wouldn't stop making comments about Ryan's mom.

What do you think about non-human creatures as professors? (werewolves, centaurs, etc)
Why not let them teach? If they have the skills, the knowledge and the drive to teach children, then they should be allowed to do so. Remus Lupin was probably THE best Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher that Harry ever had. As long as they want to teach and are good at what they do, then it shouldn't matter that they're non-human.

What would be the first place in Hogwarts that you would go to if you had an invisibility cloak?
The Forbidden Forest, the Restricted Section of the library and basically anywhere else I shouldn't be. I'd probably sneak into Filch's office and see how much illegal/restricted stuff he's confiscated. I'd probably pocket a lot of it for myself.

If you saw the Dark Mark in the sky, what would your reaction be?
Help people get somewhere safe and then start looking for Death Eaters.

If you could only use one of the Unforgivable Curses, which one would it be?
Avada Kedavra. It's the ultimate form of pwnage/self-defence. And sometimes, someone just pisses you off that much.

If you had Felix Felicis, would you use it? What for?
I'd use it if I was losing at poker. Or, if a friend needed it for a job interview, I'd have no problem giving them a few swigs.

What were your thoughts when reading about Tom Riddle’s past?
It was nice to finally hear his side of the story, so to speak. You finally learn what made him become so evil and twisted. I think it adds to his character and makes him a little deeper than he was before. I'm a complete sucker for character backstories and fleshing characters out so I really enjoyed it.

Quidditch final. If your team wins, you get the cup. If it doesn’t, you’ll be the one to blame. How much would you be willing to do to win?
I'd practice hard and make sure that my team did too. I hate losing and I can be really competitive at certain things. If I were an athletic person, which I am not, I would definitely be training and thinking of strategies.
