Who? Leo Black and Severus Snape
What? Leo buys a time-turner and decides to see how it works.
Why? Because he's LEO and he has the common sense of a monkey on crack.
When? hehe um well he starts off in hpbeyond at 17 years of age, and jumps back accidentally to current time in grownhp6words. You dig? So he started off 18 years after grownhp, and ( Read more... )

What the hell?

Severus was just finishing the last of his paperwork, and going over the plans he was expected to present to Heim and the Governors when the Patronus bounded into his office. He listened with a vaguest sense of dread, a dread that was growing when he heard certain words. "Black," "Time Turner" and "Broke."

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't half-tempted to ignore it.

But this was Severus, collector of the wayward child, apparently.

He made his way to the Shack undisturbed enough, the Aurors having become accustomed to the man's last night wanderings. Pulling his wand, he entered the building. For all he knew, this could be another scheme.

No, it was no scheme. It was just Leo being Leo. He wasn't the first to break a time-turner was he, Severus? Of course that was Dumbledore's fault. Maybe this was a lesson everyone should learn: never let lions play with time-turners. Hermione would obviously object to this.

Leo didn't have his wand out. He was on the bed on the top floor of the shack, studying the broken time-turner. When he heard someone enter, he looked up and grinned.

"Hi." That's right, that's his greeting. Hi. This is the future you have to look forward too, Severus. Years of Leo Mirach Black otherwise known as "mine" by Andi. "Thanks for coming. I guess this is a little weird for you, yeah?"

It's a good thing Severus fell off the wagon with Minerva's return or this would find him being really grumpy. As it is, Severus can control the urge to hex this wild hair disrespectful youth.

Seriously. Who was teaching kids those days?

Of course lions can't be expected to take care of their toys. Snape didn't drop the wand, but he was still staring at the kid. It was like staring into a penseive and almost seeing Sirius again. No wonder he was thinking of about seven different ways to deal with this problem and only one of them involved the kid still breathing afterwards.

"You mean to tell me your Sirius and Lily's child?" He looked over, lifting his wand just slightly. "You don't have her eyes."

"What?" He asked, looking confused. "Aunt Lily isn't my mum. Cassie Malfoy is. Did I end up in some weird alternative dimension or are you playing spy games with me?"

He studied the man carefully. He didn't look as old as he did in Leo's regular timeline, but he looked tired. Much more tired than Leo remembered seeing him. Which probably had something to do with the aurors he saw running around the grounds.

Searching his memory for something he might have been told about the months leading up to his birth he came up with nothing. It must have been something no one wished to discuss. Like all the wars that people made vague references to at times.

"Harry has her eyes, and that is why you two fight all the time. At least that is my theory. It could be because you're both total gits to each other too. You didn't tell my Uncle Remus that I'm here right? He'll be so cross. Aunt Andi would probably get a kick out of it though."
