Whoa! There is so much in this that my mind can't focus long enough to comment thoroughly. It's poetic, lush and swirling.

I feel taken in a wave of imagery and sensory overload but in a good way.
I love that at Dumbledore's death and Snape's apparent betrayal he thinks of Sirius(and doesn't notice Tonks or what a fool she makes of herself.)

And I love Sirius tasting of apples. And love that Remus can smell and taste him all the time. Painful though...

Thank you for posting it.
(Sorry I couldn't be more coherent.)

Eeeh, what great things you say! No no, I would never ask for coherency ;) I'm glad you like the sensory overload. It's like that sometimes eh.

I think Sirius would taste of apples. That's my thought anyhow. Caramel too, because doesn't that just go together? =)

Thank you so much.

Totally go together but seriously, 30 red apples... that's intense. :D

It is... but it's like that sometimes. Mindboggling intense and precise. ;)

Wow! What a feast for the senses. And it's so apt for the time of year, for all the scents and tastes you use remind me forcibly of Autumn.

I love it, and the way Remus' mind wanders through their live linking every moment of Sirius with tastes and smells - very IC to me, because Remus has had to live with the dog side of his life since he was about 5, and his olafactory senses would be a part of him, far more than Sirius' are, I feel. And of course terribly sad - Remus is The Tragegic Figure in the series, far more than even JKR realises, I think. He's Shakespearian in his loneliness.

Gorgeous - you made me hungry for toffee apples just reading it. If I would change anything it's "candy" for "sweet" I know that's horribly pedantic of me, but you've made such an effort to write in Brit English with colour etc, when I hit candy it jarred a little. Hope you don't mind me saying that.

I love the way that this comm just keeps producing amazing stuff like this.

Wah, multiple paragraphs, thank you soooo much. And yes, this is quite Remus focused, even though I didn't do it purposefully, I swear. I hardly even realised though it seems to obvious now.

Autumn is my favourite time of year. Does it show? ;)

It isn't a pedantic thing to suggest sweet at all. I appreciate it very much. I took up British spelling a long time ago (more to irritate teachers than to be pretentious!) but obviously terms and turns of phrase are still rather lost on me. So, nonono I don't mind at all. 'Sweet' still reads ok there?

Thank you soooo so much. ;)

Thank you =)))) I am so melancholy of late and can't seem to write anything giddy. But I'm trying! I'm so glad you liked it. ;)

This tastes and smells of Autumn. Sweet and familiar and warm and drops of sweat on their foreheads.

Lovely, darling.

Thank you so much! I was afraid of getting too much taste and smell in there, but it's like that you know, and sometimes, even too much just isn't enough.
