A year after the battle, Severus appeared at the Hogwarts Staff Halloween party dressed as Death. There were angry gasps and Poppy squeezed Minerva's hand tightly, but Minerva just smiled. Severus had not been around the staff since he'd been cleared of all charges.
Across the room, Remus' nose twitched. As the muttering grew louder, the DADA professor reached Severus in a few long strides, grabbing the black-clad arm roughly and jerking Severus out of the room. Poppy said that Remus would show him, but Minerva just smiled wider.

Remus was devouring Severus' neck in an alcove outside the door. He pressed against the shorter man, pinning him to the wall.
"You stink of chocolate," Remus said, nipping and licking along Severus' jugular. "I hate chocolate."
"I know," Severus gasped as Remus bit him sharply where his neck and shoulder met, feet slipping and scrambling for purchase against such an exquisite pain.
"I hate you dressed this way as well."
"I had to get your attention." Back went unspoken between them.
"I know." Remus dragged his tongue up Severus' throat until he parted the other man's lips, the kiss deep and thorough. "You're forgiven."
For everything went unspoken between them.
