Summary: Luna sits on the ground in the middle of a pumpkin patch and invites Harry to join her.

Luna takes his hand as they walk through the vines; her skin is cool against his fingers. Harry shivers, slightly, involuntarily, at the contact. He's never touched Luna before. He finds that he likes it.
She sits on the ground and invites him to join her. Reluctantly, he does so, wondering why they are here, in the twilight hour, while the rest of their friends celebrate miles away from them.
But he knows why they are here. Because he was nervous at the party, overwhelmed by the crowd, and Luna has always seen right through him when nobody else could. She asked him if he needed a moment alone; he said yes.
And so now they are sitting in the middle of a pumpkin patch.
"We could carve a jack-o'-lantern," Harry suggests, tentatively.
"I think the pumpkins would rather be left alone, Harry," Luna tells him, and as usual, she's right. They do want to be left alone, just like Harry, sometimes, wants to be left alone.
Except for Luna, of course. He's not alone when he's with Luna, but somehow still the two of them are alone, together. And the world feels a little bit lighter on his shoulders.
