Hermione Jane Granger, or Hermione Reid as she is now known as, smiled down at her daughter. She was very tired, but she couldn’t seem to stop watching baby Laura. She had just given birth to her only the day before and she had rested for a few hours, but for the life of her Hermione couldn’t seem to let go. As she glanced up to her husband’s face, her smile widened as she love and admiration in his eyes. She leaned against him, and when his attention turned to her, Hermione gently put Laura into Spencer’s awaiting arms.
In her father’s arms, Laura Elizabeth Reid gently snuggled in her blanket as she dribbled slightly. Spencer let out a small laugh, glancing down to Hermione, who was wiping away the baby spit from their baby’s mouth. With her attention elsewhere, Spencer kissed her forehead to get her attention. Hermione looked back up to him with a small smile, which widened once Spencer captured her lips in a kiss.
They pulled apart when they heard a small noise coming from Spencer’s arms. Spencer and Hermione laughed as they watched their daughter smile and gurgle up at them.
Leaning her head against his shoulder, Hermione let out a small yawn. Spencer kissed her forehead, and whispered, “Get some rest, Laura will be just fine.”
“I know, I just don’t want to miss her first day by sleeping.” Hermione said, yawning again.
“Get some rest, I love you.”
“Alright, I love you too.” Hermione pulled his head down and captured his lips in a soft and loving kiss. Breaking away, she leaned in closer to kiss Laura’s tiny forehead. With a soft sigh of sadness, Hermione settled down in the hospital’s bed.
Spencer got up off the side and moved towards the chair beside the bed. Hermione silently watched him, smiling as she did so. For several minutes she watched as he gently rocked Laura back and forth all the while softly cooing down at her.
With a smile, she fell softly into sweet dreams of her and Spencer along with a dozen of children playing around them.
