Wow, so I'm the absolute worst mod ever, Y/Y?  I'm really sorry you guys; life has been a little... crazy lately, to say the least.  I never mean to neglect this place, but when we're doing two-week sessions, it suddenly becomes much easier for the polls to slip my mind.

My computer is going to take forever to load this post. As I imagine you did take forever to create it. I wasn´t even going to nominate my favourite icons cause I thought 'this person is going to have a hell of a job with this!' hehehe

Well anyway...I agree with what you said abou too many similar nominations. If you want some help with the comm I´m available. Rest now cause post poll is always tiring hehehe

Heh, I know, that's what I was thinking as I was coding this (which took at least a half hour, which is CRAZY) -- it's going to take forever to load! Rest assured, this won't be happening again, because it's way too nuts. As for nominations, by all means, feel free to post them next round!

I usually manage to be okay on my own here (I've been modding this place pretty much on my own for a long time, because my former co-mod rarely has Internet access), but recently I got bogged down. I'm hoping to get into a better rhythm again.

I agree with you and lelymarques. I don't object when my icons nominate (this all is pleasant))) But when I looking at my nominated icons now I understand what they not so good. If I'll can, I won't vote for them) And absolutely agree with your words about many similar icons!

I think if icontests communities would nominate only best icons (only firsts places) all would be ok, because it's really good icons!

It's not even what one person considers to be a "good" icon; that's subjective, an opinion, and everyone's free to make their own opinions. What I'm referring to mostly is when I see sets of nominations with several icons that look very similar, often nominated in the same category. In that case, it strikes me as much less "I'm going to nominate icons I feel are the best," and more like "I'm going to nominate as many icons as possible," and the latter is not what we're going for here.

You may be right about icontests waiting until after their voting finishes, as that would probably cut down on the number we get. I'll wait and see if anyone else has thoughts on this, though. Thanks for your input. :)
