Sirius was sick of brooms.
Yeah, he was a Quidditch player, and they were all well and good then, but the rest of the time...
He wanted something original.
Something… unique.
Something that would scream to the world “look at me, I’m Sirius Black, and I’m cool.”
He searched and he searched, but he never found anything, so he continued to ride his beloved Nimbus 1000.
And then, one day, he walked by a Muggle store.
He almost walked past, until he noticed it.
It was perfect.
Walking up to the store manager, he asked “how much is that motorcycle?”

Octavia Malfoy searched for the snitch. She could see the Gryffindor seeker looking, but she knew she would find it.
Spotting its unique golden shimmer, she dove down, trying to get under it first.
On the way down, she squashed Septimus Avery, one of the Slytherin chasers, as well as both Gryffindor beaters.
She managed to catch the snitch that day, but before she could pull away, the Gryffindor seeker had landed on top of her.
She died that day.
That was also the day that her father, Julius Malfoy, forced the Minister of Magic to declare flying carpets illegal.
