Slash Chords/ Voldemort!

Title: Slash Chords
House: Gryffindor
Word count: 100
Challenge: #222, ‘play’
Characters/pairings: Marauders, Remus/Sirius
A/N: I know it’s not much, but it’s the best I can do. I should not be allowed to go anywhere near this song when I’m going through a Harry Potter phase; for some reason, they always react to make strange stuff like this. This is the version of the song I play, and, yes, those are real slash chords.

Em - Em/D - Em/Db - C -

“Didn’t you say that’s a Muggle song?” Peter asked.

Sirius didn’t even look up from the guitar. “Yeah.”

“Then why’s it talking about Potions?”

James sniggered. “Not those kinds of Potions.”

Sirius wondered whether he should tell his friends to go talk somewhere else. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Remus biting his lip the way he always did when he was trying not to laugh.

“He didn’t, and you’re making a lot of noise...”

Then Sirius smiled, perhaps a little stupidly, and looked at Remus as he sang the next line.

Title: Voldemort!
House: Gryffindor
Word count: 100
Challenge: #222, ‘play’
Characters/pairings: ...Er. This is complicated. Voldemort/Tom Riddle, mentions Harry and... David Bowie and Elton John.
A/n: Notes at the end, as I think the notes are longer and more extensive than the whole drabble.

Long before there was Harry Potter, Hogwarts was home to another black-haired and magically gifted orphan - Tom Riddle. Ambitious and misunderstood, Tom Riddle grew up to become Hogwarts Prefect, Head Boy and, eventually, Lord Voldemort, the most feared Dark Wizard of all time.

Voldemort! (The Musical) brings Voldemort’s exciting story to the stage for the first time ever. Featuring the music of Elton John (including the highly promising main theme, Only Power) and the talents of David Bowie in his delightful Broadway debut, Voldemort! is an inspired look at the Dark Lord’s narrative as it has never been seen before.

A/n v. 2.0: I drew heavily on this, among other things. Voldemort! is of course a little nod to Moulin Rouge!; Elton John writing the score is a nod to his failed Lestat musical (which I love to bits and pieces), and David Bowie... would make a great Voldemort. I had also originally wanted ‘Tommy’ for the title of the play, but that was a little too close to The Who’s Tommy.
