Today, Minerva reclines in a sunbeam. As she usually spends her days during the march of the summer months, she is a cat.
She spots Mrs. Norris in a shadow and hisses. Her fellow feline turns her ragged tail and retreats.
Not for the first time, as she watches the cat’s fleeing back, she's glad that cats can’t talk.
Minerva licks red blood from her face with a pink tongue. There is a dead mouse under one paw: her guilty pleasure.
