Trouble is, he likes her absurd name, enjoys her stubborn mugglemindedness. When Nymphadora’s clumsy because, briefly, she’s forgotten who she’s supposed to be and where the boundaries lie and things get knocked over or broken, he understands completely; his own metamorphoses are less visible but as real. He too must become someone else and revert back instantly.
Flawlessly.
He misjudged; he’d only meant to warn her not to rely on the wolf for protection. He hadn’t meant to upset her. This time he really took a tumble and there’s no cure for the damage.
