If he felt the shudder that ran through her body, he wouldn’t know it was from fear that her gamble would not pay off.
She'd been sneaking off to see him for several months now, and they hadn’t yet investigated. But tonight she made it obvious- One of them would come.
She knew that it was wrong, that it wouldn’t work, but she hoped.
It was the best way to bring Harry back to his senses, bring him out of his depression.
And Ron and Hermione would finally see the light, like everyone else had.
She hoped she was right.
