She noticed as he drew closer that he was actually trembling so badly.
“The after-effects of the Cruciatus curse,” Snape observed.
Hermione was the first to run to Harry then. She was like this mother hen, clucking over his battered condition, agitated.
Madame Pomfrey and the others fussed over him for so long after he was brought in.
When all had left, she crept into the room.
“Alone, finally,” she whispered as his lips touched hers.
