Title: Paved with Good Intentions.
Author: unlikely2
Challenge: On the Road.
Words: 100
Characters: Voldemort, Narcissa Malfoy, Severus Snape.

‘No, Madame Malfoy, your son cannot kill Dumbledore. But I do believe that you can arrange that someone else does.’

Uncultured and dirt-poor, Snape was sufficiently unfamiliar with rare and costly Elf Made Wine not to detect the Amortentia in her gift. Entrapped by the unexpected vow, he’d had no choice but to kill the only person HE had ever feared. Somewhere she’d gone wrong and, too proud (afraid?) to turn back, continued on her road, closing the last possible exit herself through her own stupidity.

Like all of those before.

Now all she can see ahead is the end.
