As soon as their Lord fell, the Death Eaters fled. Everything was chaos, panic. Hermione couldn’t even think about how many people were dead. All that mattered was finding Harry. Please, let him be alive!
“HARRY!”
Ron lay injured but alert at her feet, and she wouldn’t leave him; so she called into the distance, praying for an answer.
“Where are you?”
She was on the verge of tears when he appeared.
“Hermione!” He rushed over and embraced her. She began sobbing with relief.
“You’re alive,” she said through the tears. “You, Ron, me; we’re going to be okay.”
