Hermione shook her head as Ron arrived in the common room, a swathe of silvery fabric in his hands.
"Told you he wouldn't wake up," Ron said, grinning.
Hermione swatted him. "Still, you really shouldn't have. What if he needs it?"
"At one in the morning?"
"I don't know, but he might. Seriously, Ron, you shouldn't have."
"But now we won't get caught!"
Hermione sniffed, but nonetheless ducked under the cloak as Ron held it open for her.
"Do you have everything?" he asked her.
She checked. "Books, parchment, ink... yes."
They set off for the library for NEWT revision.

Petunia waits until Lily is away with her friends before carefully opening the door to her sister's room. She is especially nervous, because what if Lily put a hex on the door or something? But nothing happens apart from the usual creaking, and then she is inside, closing the door behind her and breathing in the stuffy, dusty smell she thinks must be magic. A quick glance around suffices to guide her; she walks over to the bureau and opens the narrow box, taking out the slender wand inside.
Swish and flick, swish and flick... Petunia hopes--
But nothing happens.

Pansy will marry Draco tomorrow. She looks at the dress, hanging like a ghost in the corner of her bedchamber. Tomorrow, wearing that dress, she will be led back here and become a proper wife, to a proper little Death Eater.
Now, however, she is not yet married to Draco, she is not yet the wife of a Death Eater. She is still a girl and a virgin to men, and she can still be scared. She can still call her house-elf, her childhood companion, and ask for cookies and milk, and then cry into her bedspread because she's scared.

"You've got to be joking," Neville said to Luna as she led him around the corner to stand in the long queue of people waiting to be let in. "This line must go on for blocks!"
"Just two," Luna said placidly. "It won't take more than twenty minutes. They've already opened the doors, so we just wait until the line moves along from here."
And she was right. In twenty minutes Neville was looking up at the large theatre and its neon sign.
"It'll be good, I promise," Luna said as they paid for their tickets, which read "Forbidden Broadway."

It feels so good, oh, it's such bliss. He digs in deeper, deeper, striving for that perfect movement, the one that will make him feel oh so good oh so heavenly... And he knows he shouldn't, he knows there are better ways than this, there are proper ways, acceptable ways, but this is too good to miss out on. No one's watching, no one will ever know. He lets out a growl of bliss.
"Crookshanks! No! I've told you a thousand times no!"
Yowling, he pulls his claws out of the sofa and goes to use the scratching post instead.
