Author's Notes: I don't write very Snape often; this is maybe only my second time doing so. Also, I'm not positive about his stats after school, but I think this could work...

Severus had nowhere to go upon leaving Hogwarts. He returned to Spinner's End, content with knowing that after tonight he would not return again.
His mother sat on the threadbare sofa with bruised arms and glazed eyes; she didn't acknowledge her son's return. Severus grabbed some food off the counter-a granola bar-and left again.
He walked to the river, watched the water swirl before his eyes, chewed his food. He threw the granola bar wrapper on the riverbank and turned away.
He would be going one of two places tonight, and he still had to figure out which.

Author's Notes: It took me so long to figure out what they needed money for, and I still don't like it. And um, I don't know what happened to the goblin on the cart.

Harry just then remembered that they needed extra money to fix the refrigerator that broke last week.
"Draco!" he called, getting out of the cart and walking into the vault. Draco turned a moment too late.
"Harry! No!"
"What?" Harry asked, surprised.
The door to the vault shut behind them.
"What did I do?" Harry asked to the darkness.
"Old security methods. No one without Malfoy blood is allowed in here."
"So, what do we do now?"
"We wait for someone to let us out."
"How long will that take?"
"Well," Draco said slyly, "quite a while, I would imagine..."
