i like to think of petunia as misunderstood, and shes raising dudders the best way she knows how-perhaps with more attention than she ever got. these are good and that last one really packs a wallop you dont expect.

I see her as always being second best. And that takes it's toll, and shes trying to make her boy number one and then gets given a boy whose just saved the world...
And I'm glad you liked the last one, I actually wasn't sure about it.

I am really impressed, especially with the first one. You packed so much into it that I can't even comprehend how it was done in 100 words! The 'it was not charitable.' will stick with me for a very long time, I think. There is just something fantastic about it--even though we don't know very much about James' mother, it just seems... I don't know... in character for her, if that's possible to say with any conviction!

I'm going to have to say that 'Windows' is my favorite drabble ever!

Yet when Dudley walked in and presented her with flowers and chocolate and a card saying ‘Happy Mothers Day’ she felt she was doing alright.

Aw! (I must admit, I find Dudley and Petunia's relationship bizarrely endearing. They might not be good for each other, but I don't think there's any doubt the Dursleys adore their son.)

Thanks, I don't they are good for each other either, but anyone who doubts that they adore him is, strange.
