Summary: For the first time, Molly Prewett’s life has been touched by the icy hand of death.

“Penitus vita,” Molly whispered, her wand pressed to her navel. The tip glowed unmercifully red.
A few minutes later, she had brushed her hair, straightened her robes, and applied a bit of makeup to cover up the blotchy redness from her tears. When she came downstairs to her father’s solemn stare and her mother’s sobs, her heart leapt into her throat. Somehow, they had found out.
Except they hadn’t-not that, anyhow.
Albus Dumbledore’s head, his red hair streaked with white, sat in the kitchen fireplace, shaking slowly back and forth.
Fabian and Gideon had fallen in battle.
