Later, the Muggle psychologist told her she had been abused, but she refused to accept that. She had liked drinking well enough, after the first few times he’d had to hold her down and tip the bottle up. She’d just been acting stupid and disobedient when he’d ordered her to have a tumbler of Firewhiskey. She should have known better.
She’d just been defiant and deserved it when he hit her, too. And how dared she refuse to please him in bed? He had every right to force her, hadn’t he? She’d been a very insolent wife.
